About the Bikini Team:
| The original Bikini Team concept was conceived by an American marketing
group as an advertising campaign for a beer company when they introduced
the Swedish Bikini Team to the world. The 5 American, platinum wig
wearing women were only hired models and not even Swedish, but their
success spawned dozens of new actual bikini teams. Ultimately the
beer company pulled the ads due to lawsuits and complaints by the
National Organization for Women and female employees of the beer giant.
Today, bikini teams appear worldwide at major events and promotions
as eye candy or attention grabbers and are often featured attractions.
Team members are selected based on looks, personality, work ethic,
and most of all showmanship. |

SBT. It is simply an American marketing invention.
